My turn to watch the embers glow,
Where truth reveals
What lies below.
The thought of them
Still makes me churn,
As every memory
Starts to burn.
Justice is the debt they earned,
For every bridge
They watched be burned.
No mask remains,
No false concern—
For time reveals
What hearts discern.
The wheel has turned,
The tables too;
Consequence comes
When truth breaks through.
The fire I carried
Forged my steel.
Through evil's pain,
My heart could heal.
I rose from ashes,
Strong and true;
The darkness lost—
The light broke through.
